Learn about our American Sign Language 1

Mrs. Amy "Cori" Parks gained a love and appreciation for ASL during her senior year of high school when she served as an American Field Service Exchange student to Australia when she lived with a deaf host sister and her host mother was a teacher for the deaf.  When she returned from this experience she enrolled in the ASL Interpreting Program at the community college in San Diego.  Later she worked at the Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, Vermont and then served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia, South Africa  where she taught children English as a Second Language.

As a side job, but one she is really passionate about, Parks has been a fitness professional on the international scene as an American Heart Association FA/CPR/AED instructor, personal trainer, trainer of trainers and Master Instructor for Spinning®.
